Stunning black and gold lacquerware platter

Real gold leaf is used in the hand-etched designs

Northern Thai lacquerware is well known to art collectors worldwide, and is acclaimed for some of the finest craftsmanship techniques in the world

Lacquerware is created by carving mango wood with expertise and applying the black resin of the Lak tree as a coating material to give it a fine finish and luster

Each piece receives a seven-layer coat of lacquer to ensure its high quality, and takes 2 months to complete

Measures 10 inches long x 5 inches wide
